{"id":28,"date":"2007-05-30T09:58:42","date_gmt":"2007-05-30T14:58:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gamescheat.ca\/?p=28"},"modified":"2019-09-04T19:57:41","modified_gmt":"2019-09-05T00:57:41","slug":"venturing-into-online-auction-ebay","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gamescheat.ca\/?p=28","title":{"rendered":"Venturing into online auction Ebay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have been meaning to sell my toys on Ebay for a long time but never got around to actually doing it.\u00c2\u00a0 Well trying to figure out what in the house I could sell was not an easy process,\u00c2\u00a0 I have lot\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s of junk according to my wife that I should get rid of.\u00c2\u00a0 What is junk to her is precious to me.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left;\"><div style=\"margin: 15px 15px 15px 15px\";><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\ngoogle_ad_client = \"pub-3319935785736004\";\ngoogle_alternate_color = \"FFFFFF\";\ngoogle_ad_width = 120;\ngoogle_ad_height = 240;\ngoogle_ad_format = \"120x240_as\";\ngoogle_ad_type = \"text_image\";\ngoogle_ad_channel =\"\";\ngoogle_color_border = \"cccccc\";\ngoogle_color_link = \"cc0000\";\ngoogle_color_bg = \"ffffff\";\ngoogle_color_text = \"000000\";\ngoogle_color_url = \"008000\";\n\/\/--><\/script>\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\n  src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\n<\/script><\/div><\/div><p>Being a techie I had collected many computer and network equipment over the years.\u00c2\u00a0 In the back of my mind I have this vision of putting together a massive complex network of switches, routers and servers at home.\u00c2\u00a0 But most of the stuff just sat in my basement collecting dust as I could not bear to part with them.\u00c2\u00a0 I have HP, Cisco, 3com, Dell, Dlink, Linksys, Nec and other brand routers, switches, servers and more.<\/p>\n<p>Well I did it, last week I finally decided to setup an Ebay account.\u00c2\u00a0 I created an account on Ebay and spent some time reading the informational documentation on the site.\u00c2\u00a0 Registering for an account was straight forward, in order to verify my authenticity I had to enter my home phone number on Ebay.\u00c2\u00a0 You cannot enter a cell phone number it must be a land line.\u00c2\u00a0 I tried my cell number and Ebay was smart enough to recognize that it was not a land line, I was certainly impressed.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 I then submitted my home phone number and within a minute I received an automated phone call from Ebay.
